Did you know that you can have your eyelids rejuvenated and lifted without surgery? Yes, it is true! Dr. Glavas provides minimally invasive procedures, including a non-surgical eye lift in Boston.

A non-surgical eye lift procedure can typically be performed during a lunch break or after work! Many of Dr. Glavas’ patients are busy professionals or parents with little spare time and choose the option to achieve a refreshed look without the risks of surgical complications or downtime for recovery.

Non-surgical eye lift techniques have revolutionized the way we approach eyelid rejuvenation. These techniques include the injectable eye lift, laser eye lift, and radiofrequency eye lift. Each method uses a unique technology to address the signs of aging around the eyes, such as wrinkles, sagging, and puffiness, without the need for traditional surgery.

The injectable eye lift uses dermal fillers and botulinum toxin to restore volume and reduce wrinkles around the eyes. Fillers are injected into specific areas to plump up the skin, smoothing out fine lines and restoring a youthful contour to the eye area. Botulinum toxin, on the other hand, is used to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, resulting in a smoother appearance.

Heavy brows can cause hooding of the skin over the eyelashes of the upper lids causing the entire brow-eyelid complex to have a downward slant. This can make you look sad and tired.

Dr. Glavas uses Botox® treatment to elevate the brows. The result is similar to a brow lift lasting approximately four months. This is the choice procedure for many individuals who have busy lifestyles and do not want to have surgery for either social or medical reasons or cannot have long downtime for recovery.

Hollowing in the upper or lower eyelids may develop as a result of fat atrophy and collagen atrophy due to aging or previous eye lift surgery. Non-surgical eye lift options by Dr. Glavas may be a good choice for patients who experience hollow eyes. Dr. Glavas uses fillers such as  Juvederm®, Restylane®, Radiesse®,  or the patient’s own fat to enhance the contour of the lids so that the face appears rejuvenated.

“Crow’s feet,” also known as “laugh lines,” and deep wrinkles at the corners of the eyes can depress the eyebrows and make the skin of the eyelids look excessive and heavy. These wrinkles are caused by muscle movement.

Laser eye lift is focused on using light energy to stimulate collagen production in the skin, leading to tighter, more youthful-looking skin around the eyes. This technique can effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, as well as improve skin texture and firmness without incisions or significant downtime.

Dr. Glavas uses
Fractional Laser skin resurfacing to smooth out these lines, relax the muscles, and lift the eyebrows for a more relaxed and rejuvenated appearance. This treatment can be combined with Botox® injection for a more potent and longer-lasting effect.

Fine lines are found on the skin of the lower eyelids and develop as a result of years of facial animation and environmental and habitual factors such as sun damage, smoking, stress, or simply skin aging.  These types of wrinkles are best treated by skin resurfacing using laser or chemical peels.

Radiofrequency eye lift involves the use of radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, encouraging new collagen production and tightening existing skin structures. This method is particularly effective for lifting and tightening the skin around the eyes, offering a non-surgical solution to drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes.

Ideal candidates for non-surgical eye lifts are individuals with mild to moderate signs of aging around the eyes who seek subtle enhancements without the risks and recovery time associated with surgery. These candidates should have realistic expectations about the results and understand that while non-surgical procedures can offer significant improvements, they may not achieve the same dramatic effects as surgical blepharoplasty.

Patients with severe sagging or those requiring extensive correction may not be suitable candidates for these minimally invasive procedures.
